P\u00e5 blot f\u00e5 \u00e5r er co-bots<\/span> blevet betroede hj\u00e6lpere \u2013 b\u00e5de p\u00e5 hospitalsgange og i produktionshaller. De kan udf\u00f8re opgaver, der sp\u00e6nder fra at samle elektroniske komponenter til at foretage ultralydsscanninger p\u00e5 patienter med gigt. I samme periode har vi ogs\u00e5 oplevet en eksplosion i udviklingen af kunstig intelligens. AI er ikke l\u00e6ngere blot noget, forskere forestiller sig \u2013 det er en assistent, der kan hj\u00e6lpe dig med at skrive en e-mail eller udarbejde en madopskrift blot ved at se et billede af den f\u00e6rdige ret. Derfor arbejder mange forskere nu p\u00e5 at integrere avancerede AI-funktioner i co-bots. Men AI er ofte ikke bevidst om sine egne fejl. N\u00e5r AI blot er ChatGPT, der skriver en e-mail, betyder en fejl h\u00f8jst, at beskeden ikke giver mening. Men hvis AI\u2019en styrer en co-bot, kan en fejl f\u00f8re til, at medarbejdere kommer til skade \u2013 eller at robotten beskadiger sine omgivelser.<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

MOTUS<\/span> samler SDU<\/span> og ITU<\/span> i et t\u00e6t samarbejde med danske industripionerer som Universal Robots<\/span>, Danfoss<\/span> og ROPCA<\/span>. Sammen arbejder de p\u00e5 at udvikle nye metoder, der skal sikre, at AI-drevne co-bots p\u00e5 fabrikker og hospitaler bliver sikre \u2013 ved at g\u00f8re dem bevidste om deres egne fejl.<\/p>\n

Projektet ligger t\u00e6t op ad DIRECs<\/span> mission om at fremme digital forskning, der er ansvarlig, anvendelig og samfundsrelevant. MOTUS<\/span> kombinerer banebrydende forskning med praktiske, tv\u00e6rfaglige l\u00f8sninger. Gennem st\u00f8tten til dette initiativ styrker DIREC<\/span> Danmarks f\u00f8rerposition inden for udviklingen af sikker AI-teknologi og viser, hvordan digital forskning kan oms\u00e6ttes til innovation i samfundskritiske funktioner.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

MOTUS udvikler AI-v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer til at overv\u00e5ge, teste og validere de beslutninger, som co-bots tr\u00e6ffer. Form\u00e5let er at m\u00e5le og kommunikere usikkerhed \u2013 b\u00e5de f\u00f8r og under en co-bots handlinger. Gennem avanceret usikkerhedskvantificering, out-of-distribution-detektion og realtidsoverv\u00e5gning vil co-bots f\u00e5 evnen til at genkende, n\u00e5r de opererer under usikre forhold, s\u00e5 de kan s\u00e6tte deres handlinger p\u00e5 pause eller involvere en menneskelig operat\u00f8r.<\/p>

Our two main produets are ARTHUR, a robot for autonomous ultrasound (US) scanning of the patients’ hand joints, and DIANA, an AI software assistant for evaluating and monitoring disease activity based on US images. Both produets are for the medical market, so they must comply with the EU Medical Device Regulation, which places strong requirements on safety. We are interested in this project because technologies that can make AI and robots safer would allow us to expand the range of features in our produets, while keeping medical device compliance.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We have focus on faster deployments of robots. AI solutions can make robots easier to program, but it is difficult to predict how robust they will be in practice. Here safe and understandable Al based robot control can be very beneficial. The best-case scenario is that research and development within the field is advanced significantly, so Danfoss Drives can in the future make use of this technology for faster robot deployment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

I samme periode har vi ogs\u00e5 oplevet en eksplosion i udviklingen af kunstig intelligens. AI er ikke l\u00e6ngere blot noget, forskere forestiller sig \u2013 det er en assistent, der kan hj\u00e6lpe dig med at skrive en e-mail eller udarbejde en madopskrift blot ved at se et billede af den f\u00e6rdige ret. Derfor arbejder mange forskere nu p\u00e5 at integrere avancerede AI-funktioner i co-bots. Men AI er ofte ikke bevidst om sine egne fejl. N\u00e5r AI blot er ChatGPT, der skriver en e-mail, betyder en fejl h\u00f8jst, at beskeden ikke giver mening. Men hvis AI\u2019en styrer en co-bot, kan en fejl f\u00f8re til, at medarbejdere kommer til skade \u2013 eller at robotten beskadiger sine omgivelser.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><br><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">MOTUS<\/span> samler <span class=\"s1\">SDU<\/span> og <span class=\"s1\">ITU<\/span> i et t\u00e6t samarbejde med danske industripionerer som <span class=\"s1\">Universal Robots<\/span>, <span class=\"s1\">Danfoss<\/span> og <span class=\"s1\">ROPCA<\/span>. Sammen arbejder de p\u00e5 at udvikle nye metoder, der skal sikre, at AI-drevne co-bots p\u00e5 fabrikker og hospitaler bliver sikre \u2013 ved at g\u00f8re dem bevidste om deres egne fejl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><br><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Projektet ligger t\u00e6t op ad <span class=\"s1\">DIRECs<\/span> mission om at fremme digital forskning, der er ansvarlig, anvendelig og samfundsrelevant. <span class=\"s1\">MOTUS<\/span> kombinerer banebrydende forskning med praktiske, tv\u00e6rfaglige l\u00f8sninger.
