Digital research initiatives

Danish Data Science Academy

DDSA's purpose is to bring together and strengthen the many stakeholders at the Danish universities, health technology and business. The academy focuses on strengthening data science as an independent discipline and on strengthening collaboration that exploits new digital technologies for the benefit of society in a broad sense. DDSA has a total grant of DKK 184.3 million from the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the VILLUM FOUNDATION.

Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence

The purpose is to bring Denmark at the forefront of human-centric artificial intelligence. The centre conducts world-class basic research and develops new platforms, methods and practices. The University of Copenhagen acts as host and administrator, while researchers from the Technical University of Denmark, the IT University, Aalborg University and Aarhus University act as co-leads. The centre has a grant of DKK 352 million from the Danish National Research Foundation.

ADD – Algorithms, Data and Democracy

The ADD project aims to make digital development work for democratic legitimacy through research, enhanced public understanding of technologies, policy recommendations, and dialogue. The project investigates what algorithms are, what they do for us and to us, and whether we can trust them. The project is funded by the Villum and Velux Foundations, and the think tank Mandag Morgen is in charge of the information and dialogue efforts, while Roskilde University heads the project's research consortium.

Danish Chamber of commerce

Danish Chamber of Commerce is the network for companies within Retail, Service, IT, Transport, Tourism and Health industries in Denmark. They are one of the largest business organizations in Denmark with more than 375 employees and offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Brussels and New York.

Co-coders

Co-coders er et inkluderende tech-fællesskab, der arbejder for at sikre de rette IT-kompetencer i fremtiden og skabe diversitet i IT-branchen. Co-coders tilbyder code nights, inspirerende Tech Tales og inkluderende kodningskurser.

The Danish ICT Industry Association

The Danish ICT Industry Association is a professional organization for companies within information technology, the Internet, new digital media, telecommunications, electronics and document solutions. The association has over 800 members and is the largest professional organization within this workfield in Denmark.

Danish Industry

Danish Industry – DI is a private business and employers' organization representing approximately 20,000 companies in Denmark, covering manufacturing as well as service industries across sectors such as transport, energy, IT, health, trade, and professional services.

The Danish Society of Engineers

The Danish Society of Engineers is a modern professional association for technology, natural sciences and IT specialists. The trade union has more than 140,000 members.

Destination Aarhus

Destination AARhus is a professional business network with a large community of leading companies in Greater Aarhus. Their member portfolio is locally founded and internationally operating companies with a strong IT profile.

DANISH IT

Danish IT is a professional organization that offers a wide range of professional skills development and is a natural participant in the debate about information technology. The association holds courses, conferences, member events and has a wide range of networks, just as it is the certifying authority for a large number of internationally recognized IT courses for both IT professionals and IT users.

DI Digital

DI Digital is the Danish ICT and Electronics Federation, under the Confederation of Danish Industry. They represent companies in the IT, electronics, communications and telco industries. DI Digital's vision is to increase the wealth and prosperity of Denmark through ambitious utilization of digital opportunities.

Digital Dogme

Digital Dogme is an alliance of companies that create growth, innovation and jobs in Denmark– and which increasingly need digital skills.

Danish Quantum Community

Danish Quantum Community is an initiative driven by the national research environments. Their purpose is to unite all national stakeholders and to create a room for synergies across research institutions, industries, and funding bodies. Their mission is to increase knowledge about quantum technology, improving conditions for research and innovation and to illustrate applications of quantum technology.

Headstart

HEADSTART's purpose is twofold, namely, to support local companies in attracting and retaining international talent and to guide professionals from around the world towards a new job and life in the region.

Digital clusters

DigitalLead

Digital Lead is Denmark's national cluster for digital technologies, which consists of a strong group of partners: Aalborg University, University of Copenhagen, DTU, Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark, IT University of Copenhagen, Roskilde University, Copenhagen Business School, the Alexandra Institute and Force Technology as well as more than 500 companies.

Copenhagen Fintech

Copenhagen Fintech is a non-profit, innovation hub founded in 2016 in Denmark, with the mission to foster innovation within the financial sector, by building a thriving fintech ecosystem. They support new financial technologies with potential to shape the future, by creating connections throughout all levels of industry - from start-ups to financial institutions, research organisations, governments, NGOs and individuals who want to make a difference.
