A relational view on artificial intelligence business value manifestation

Abstract

While increasingly more organizations want to explore the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in terms of business value, several of them turn to interorganizational partnerships. This dissertation examines how AI business value manifests in such settings. Through four studies, it develops a framework highlighting the role of relational dynamics, communication, and the unique characteristics of AI in influencing how the business value manifests across organizational boundaries.
