COMPUTERWORLD WELCOMES TO

strategic IT security day 2026

Get closer to the threat landscape, requirements and consequences in cybersecurity – and get inspiration for your next step.

Build digital resilience – before it’s too late

Traffic jams on the Great Belt Bridge. Payment terminals that break down. Emergency centers and police lines out of service. Critical systems that fail – without a plan, without communication, without alternatives. It has happened before. It will happen again. Yet many companies and authorities continue to base their preparedness on one defense, a few suppliers and one solution – without a plan B.

Recent years have shown how vulnerable Denmark is. Not only to cyberattacks, but also to simple operational disruptions. When that happens, it’s not just about technology. It’s about leadership, responsiveness and responsibility. It’s about society’s digital resilience.

On Strategic IT Security Day, 200 IT professionals gather to strengthen digital resilience – and build systems that don’t break when the pressure increases.

The day focuses on:

  • The current threat landscape and requirements from, among others, NIS2
  • How to detect and handle crashes and attacks – before they become critical
  • Practical experience from companies that have been affected – and have learned from it

The program combines concrete cases with expert knowledge about prevention, recovery and resilience in practice. Participation is free – but reserved for professional IT users.

Thomas Riisgaard Hansen, Managing Director, DIREC will give a presentation at 14.30 – 15.00

Specialized knowledge and collaboration lead to unique, competitive cybersecurity solutions

The need for cybersecurity solutions is constantly increasing and new technological developments within AI and quantum are accelerating demand further. If Danish companies are to seriously seize the opportunity and be able to compete with international players who in many cases have access to more capital, there is a need for unique competitive advantages.

A competitive advantage is through the possession of unique technology that is not easily copied. In the Next Generation AI project, Digital Research Centre Denmark (DIREC) in collaboration with Security Tech Space (STS) and the National Defence Technology Centre (NFC) has collaborated with a number of companies to develop such competitive advantages by linking knowledge from companies with specialized research knowledge and access to defence technology environments.

In this post, Thomas will briefly present the project and the approach as well as the opportunities to be involved in the project.
