AI factories are coming – but we are overlooking talent development

At the end of July, Denmark announced plans to invest DKK 750 million in computing power for the EU’s AI factories. But greater access to computing power will not create a competitive advantage unless we also have the companies and researchers capable of turning it into new solutions.

Talent and innovation have become the biggest challenges in the AI race. That’s because the race has entered a new phase. It is no longer simply about building more powerful models. It is about turning AI into unique, defensible competitive advantages.

And the competitive advantage of the future will lie in attracting and retaining the talent capable of developing unique digital solutions on top of and around AI models.
