Take a look into the future with this feature from Børsen Weekend
We recently welcomed editor David Bentow for a tour of the Aarhus tech ecosystem and a conversation about quantum computing – because when will quantum computers be powerful enough to break the encryption algorithms we rely on today?
“We know with 100% certainty that quantum computers will be able to break some of the important codes we use today. But we don’t know whether that will happen in 2029 or 2045,” says Thomas Riisgaard Hansen, CEO of DIREC.
At the same time, Denmark has a unique opportunity:
“In Denmark, we have some of the world’s leading researchers in cryptography, and that gives us a great opportunity to create innovative companies that can address a huge global market.”
In addition to Thomas, the article features a number of people from the Aarhus ecosystem, including Professor Ivan Damgård, PhD Sebastian Kolby, Jakob Pagter from Blockdaemon, Peer Heldgaard Kristensen from Security Tech Space and Gert Læssøe Mikkelsen from the Alexandra Institute.
